Armor your Belly + Giveaway!

As soon as I got that 1st (ok, 5th) positive pregnancy test, the first things I made sure to purchase were my Leachco Snoogle Total Body Pillow (gotta get plenty of rest!!) and Belly Armor’s Belly Blanket Chic Organic in Azure.  If you’re not familiar with Belly Armor, they use RadiaShield® fabric to block radiation emitting off of electronic devices, such as laptops, cell phones, and tablets, from your growing belly and baby.  According to Belly Armor’s website:

Over the past few years there has been growing evidence that exposure to everyday radiation (low-frequency, non-ionizing radiation) may cause significant health risks, especially during pregnancy and early childhood. These risks have increased considerably over the past decade along with the prevalence of cell phones, computers, power lines, and other electronic devices. Health experts and organizations worldwide are advising precautionary measures to lower this exposure.

I knew this was a product I HAD to have!  Especially after starting to rid my home of toxins and chemicals, I want to protect my little bundle of dividing cells from exposure to the radiation of my electronic devices.  Even as I type this blog post, I keep my blanket covering my chest and belly underneath my laptop.  It’s also baby blanket-sized so you’ll be able to use it for the baby after birth.

Belly Armor Belly Band Embrace 2.0I keep the blanket with me at home when I’m using electronic devices, but I realized I couldn’t carry the blanket around with me while outside the home.  So, I purchased the Belly Armor Belly Band Embrace 2.0.  It is a lightweight, breathable RadiaShield® fabric tube that is worn around the belly underneath clothes, or on top if you prefer.  The one detail to note, you may have to invest in two sizes of the bands as the preferable pregnant belly size will be loose preconception and early pregnancy.  It still fits but shifts and rolls up the hips until it begins to stretch with your belly.

UPDATE!! Currently nearing the end of my 2nd trimester and my belly band fits a lot better! It doesn’t roll up on the hips or shift around.

There are other items available on the website, including camisoles and shirts, men’s boxer briefs, nursery covers, and baby hats.  PRO TIP: Join Belly Armor’s newsletter online and get awesome deals!  After I purchased my blanket, I received a coupon for $10 off my next purchase which I used on the Embrace 2.0 Belly Band.
